About

Chalapathi Institute of Engineering & Technology was established in 2007, and the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering has been one of the key departments of the institute since its inception. The department has been playing a vital role in producing Engineers of high caliber. The Department offers Full Time UG program with an intake of 60 students & additional 6 students from diploma background enter the institution in the second year of their curriculum.TheDepartment is having young & qualified faculty. The infrastructure and lab facilities are upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for students to learn and innovate. Seminars, Guest lecturers & workshops are conducted now & then to enhance the knowledge of the student. The academic performance of the students is improving from semester to semester. Every year the department provides industry interaction to student by arranging industrial tours. The students are encouraged to participate in co curricular & extracurricular activities like sports, paper contests etc.

    Laboratories

    Electrical Machines-I Laboratory   

    Electrical machines course is one of the important courses of the Electrical discipline. In this course the different types of DC generators and motors which are widely used in industry are covered and their performance aspects will be studied.

    Electrical Machines-II Laboratory
      

    The course covers practical experiment on transformers: open circuit, short circuit, and load test; unbalanced loading and parallel operation of transformers; Single phase & three phase Induction Motors were used to conduct Load test, Speed Control, No load & Blocked Rotor test.

    Electrical Machines-III Laboratory   

    The course covers practical experiment on Synchronous machines: The experiments like Voltage regulation, Slip test, Load test and V-Curve & Inverted V-Curve Characteristics can be conducted on Synchronous machines.

    Control systems Laboratory
      

    This laboratory serves our basic lecture courses in systems and controls, introducing students to a variety of concepts in signal analysis, servo control, open and closed loop system analysis, compensator design, and state variable feedback.

    Electrical Measurements Laboratory  

    Characteristics and limitations of analog and digital electrical and electronic instrumentation, signal sources, and d-c power supplies. Analysis, tabulations, and graphical presentation of measurement data and technical report writing.

    Power electronics Laboratory  

    This laboratory introduces the student to measurement and simulation of important operating characteristics of power electronic circuits and power semiconductor devices. Emphasis is on devices, circuits, gating methods and power quality.

    Power systems Laboratory  

    This course deals with a basic understanding of power system components, operation and analysis. Course will cover basic power system components including generating machines, transmission lines and transformers. Introduction to power system analysis will be also covered. At the conclusion of the course, students should be able to have basic understanding of power system components and how these components interact in steady state.

    The Association of Electrical Engineering CIET welcomes you to its information portal.     Department Library

    The department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering has department library for the reference purpose of students and staff. As per University syllabus prescribed and reference textbooks are available in the department library. The department library is also in the possession of IEEE journals, material for the GATE, GRE, TOEFL, video Lectures on different subjects. In addition to the course books general books for personality development, general knowledge, handbooks, yearbooks, are also added to the collections. The department library also archives the final year project reports submitted by the students.
