The Department of Civil Engineering was one of the many branches started when Chalapathi Institute of Engineering and Technology was established in 2009. In the past decade, the department has seen a lot of progress in academics, research and consultancy.The Department offers an UG Program – B.Tech in Civil Engineering with an annual intake of 60. In the year 2018, the National Board of Accreditation, India has given us Three years of accreditation under Tier-II Category recognizing our academic accomplishments. In the year 2020, the UG program was accorded academic autonomy status by UGC which enabled us to have our own curriculum to enhance knowledge, skills and attitudes in students. The department has engaged in training students towards industry needs with necessary software exposure right from the day of its establishment. The department has acquainted in conducting guest lectures, workshops, student paper presentation and conferences.

The department of Civil Engineering encourages students to participate in various extra-curricular activities and competitions held by other universities and colleges within the state and outside the state. The students are molded with multi-dimensional skill sets covering all the required graduate attributes. More focus is emphasized on practical learning and projects.
