Vision & Mission

Department Vision

To motivate and guide students to become Cyber Security professionals through quality technical education and to serve the nation.

Department Mission

  • DM1: To give students strong technical knowledge through skilled teachers, good infrastructure, and industry support.
  • DM2: To prepare students to become skilled professionals who can learn new technologies and solve cybersecurity problems.
  • DM3: To develop professional, social, and ethical values in students so that they can serve society.

Program educational objectives

  • PEO-1: Graduates will be able to work in different areas of Cyber Security and pursue higher studies and research.
  • PEO-2: Graduates will have good communication skills, follow ethical values, and responsibly protect network systems for society.
  • PEO-3: Graduates will become entrepreneurs and contribute to the development of Cyber Security technologies.

Program specific outcomes

A graduate of the Computer Science and Engineering Program will demonstrate:
  • PSO-1: Professional Skills: Apply technical and professional skills in algorithms, programming, web design, and networking.
  • PSO-2: Problem-Solving Skills: : Use standard tools and techniques to develop and implement Cyber Security solutions.
  • PSO-3: Analyze problems and follow professional ethics in ethical Hacking and Cyber Security standards.

Workshops/Guest Lectures conducted

  • A Student Interaction on “Opportunities in Cybersecurity” was conducted on 14-02-2026. The session was delivered by Mr. Sadagopan Raghavan Thiruvengadathan, Partner at Ernst and Young (EY), providing valuable insights into cybersecurity opportunities and industry trends.

  • A Three Days Workshop on “Cyber Basics Endorsement” was conducted from 17-11-2025 to 19-11-2025. A total of 48 students from I year CSC participated

  • CTF Training for TCS HackQuest – Round 1 was organized by the Department of Cyber Security from 25-11-2025 to 08-12-2025 in online mode. The session was delivered by Ms. Aswathy Mohan as the resource person. The training was conducted for a duration of 1 hour, providing students with hands-on experience in cybersecurity challenges.

  • A one-week workshop on “Ethical Hacking Workshop + One-Day Hackathon” was conducted from 2nd September 2025 to 9th September 2025. A total of 121 students from III and IV year Cybersecurity participated
