About Exam Cell

The Autonomous Examination Cell of the college is a confidential administrative unit responsible for managing the entire academic evaluation process for all courses and maintaining student academic records. The Examination Cell in CIET headed by the Controller of Examinations. The primary responsibilities of the Examination Cell include conducting all examinations, coordinating the valuation of answer scripts and declaring results in a fair, timely, systematic and transparent manner under the guidance of the Chief Superintendent of Examinations (Principal). The exam cell also coordinates with ANU regarding all matters related to examinations.

RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS

• Prepare and implement the overall examination schedule, including question paper setting, printing, valuation, and result declaration.
• Issue examination notifications in accordance with the academic calendar.
• Prepare examination timetables, invigilation duty charts, seating arrangements, and ensure the smooth conduct of examinations.
• Mobilize faculty and staff during examinations and assign duties as per the approved duty chart.
• Coordinate the distribution and collection of answer scripts and award lists for internal examinations.
• Process examination application forms and issue hall tickets to eligible students.
• Organize and supervise spot valuation for external examinations.
• Analyze examination results and submit reports to the competent authorities for further action.
• Process, verify, and publish examination results in a timely manner.
• Print, verify, and issue Memoranda of Marks to students.
• Issue Provisional Certificates and Consolidated Memoranda of Marks to eligible candidates.
• Maintain accurate and secure records related to all examination activities.
• Address and resolve examination-related grievances raised by students, faculty, staff, and the administration.
